Take part in the 3D printing competition organised by Cults, featuring planters and flower pots!

The challenge of design and 3D printing about planters.

What is the brief?

The aim is simple: to create a 3D printable model of a flower pot or planter.

3D printing, combined with a little creativity and ingenuity, can be a great way of creating ingenious objects that can change our everyday lives and make life easier.

This 3D printing competition is a great opportunity to let your creativity run wild and make your own flower pots.
You can create unique, personalised designs that will add an original touch to your garden or balcony. Ideas and examples of designs that could be created as part of this competition include

  • Planters with elaborate floral designs,
  • small decorative pots for your succulents,
  • innovative hanging pots,
  • supports for climbing plants in your large pots,
  • original planters,
  • etc.

3D printing makes it possible to create complex shapes that would be difficult to achieve using other manufacturing methods. You can use different materials, offering a variety of textures and colours for your flower pots. This allows you to design pots that are durable, weather-resistant and adapted to the specific needs of your plants. You can also experiment with eco-friendly and biodegradable materials for a more sustainable approach to horticulture.

These ideas can be made using various 3D modeling software like Tinkercad, Fusion 360, or Blender, and can be 3D printed with materials like PLA, ABS, or resin. Just keep in mind that some designs may require supports or special settings for successful 3D printing.

How long does the contest run?

The contest will run from July 15th, 2023 to September 30th, 2023.
